“16 types of Prayer – #15 Lamenting"
Key Verses: Jeremiah 4:8 & Jeremiah 9:17-19
There are people on earth who are touched to the core of their being by bleak, negative or impossible situations they may witness or hear. They will literally lament and wail out to God for Divine intervention, help, support, reversal or blessings to be released into persons lives, various situations and issues. Some believe it does not take all that. They say he is a God of love, mercy, grace and peace. We agree on that point. However there are times that the hot anger of the Lord is stirred up in response to mans choices or actions. Therefore I humbly submit to you that it is the Spirit of the Living God that works through human flesh to cry, wail or lament while standing in the gap to bring forth his will in bleak situations. See Romans 8:27 - 28.
This is a type of prayer that can be utilized in what appears to be overwhelming or hopeless situations. That's right it is a opportunity to get down in the presence of the Lord and wail before him with whom we have to do......let our hearts melt or break before him on behalf of another. During this time we must constantly remain yielded to the Holy Spirit. How long? Until the burden is lifted....until you sense Heaven has released your specific answer. This can be considered a act of love and therefore does not require one getting on a bullhorn tellin' everyone about how God used you to pray for so and so or this and that. Nope seek your reward from heaven...it last longer.

"Surprise Me God 30-Day Experiment – Day 16”
Today was a extremely frustrating, disappointing and long day. While looking back over my day at bedtime....I was Surprised that by God's grace I was able to maintain a positive attitude without going on an "emotional rampage or outburst" speaking negative words along the way.

“A little laughter”
The Sunday school teacher was carefully explaining the story of Elijah the Prophet and the false prophets of Baal. She explained how Elijah built the altar, put wood upon it, cut the steer in pieces and laid it upon the altar. And then Elijah commanded the people of God to fill four barrels of water and pour it over the altar. He had them do this four times."Now, said the teacher, "can anyone in the class tell me why the Lord would have Elijah pour water over the steer on the altar?"A little girl in the back of the room raised her hand with great enthusiasm. "To make the gravy."
