“16 types of Prayer – #12 Intercession"
Key Verse: Romans 8:26 - 27
This is one act or demonstration of the Spirit of God. It is used to bear us up in our weaknesses. It's similar to a Defense lawyer representing someone before a judge. The Holy Spirit works through yielded vessels across the land to intercede on behalf of others.
Intercession is a selfless act. It is birthed from a yielded persons vessel. You might be thinking yielded to what? I would humbly offer that they are yielded to the will along with the ways of God. You could be praying one hour, day, week, month or even year for this person or situation. It's important to continue to intercede until you receive a release from heaven concerning the matter. There is a ton more that could be said however instead I pray the Lord will specifically speak to the heart of each individual reader to bring us to a greater or deeper realm of understanding on the subject of Intercessory Prayer.

Today the Lord "surprised" me by touching the hearts of several different people to meet a very specific need in my family. I truly am thankful the Lord knows a bunch of people and has a big mouth.

“A little laughter”
While walking along the sidewalk in front of his church, our minister heard the intoning of a prayer that nearly made his collar wilt. Apparently, his five-year-old son and his playmates had found a dead robin. Feeling that proper burial should be performed, they had secured a small box and cotton batting, then dug a hole and made ready for the disposal of the deceased.The minister's son was chosen to say the appropriate prayers and with sonorous dignity intoned his version of what he thought his father always said:"Glory be unto the Faaaather and unto the Sonnnn.......and into the hole he gooooes."
