“16 types of Prayer – #16 Corporate"
Key Verse: Acts 12: 5 - 16
This is a powerful verse of scripture. It reveals what happens when people of faith make a intelligent decision to put there differences aside in order to rally together corporately in prayer.
Yes, it is rare but possible to allow what may appear to divide us bring us together for a common good. These folks allowed a very negative situation to bring them together in prayer. It seems they became focused to the point where no matter how long it took they would seek God's help in prayer for Peter who had been imprisoned by the King at that time. At the appointed time a Divine Angel was assigned from Heaven to rescue Peter from jail. Once the Angel awoke Peter out of his sleep Peter was instructed to put on his shoes and warm himself with his coat for the journey ahead. Once out of the confines of the jails perimeter Peter was inspired to go to Johns house which just so happened to be where all the people of faith had gathered to pray for him. After recounting what had just taken place it seems they were amazed themselves at the Divine results their decision to pray corporately actually had on the present situation.

"Surprise Me God 30-Day Experiment – Day 17”
This one may sound a little strange but bear with me till the end. Out of no where the stick/pole that my hangers hook onto in my closet suddenly collapsed to the ground causing all my clothes to tumble to the ground. I thought to myself that's strange...the same amount of clothes have been there all year and did not cave in...why now"? My husband came in soon after and saw what happened. He said "now you have a chance to get rid of the old stuff". He was right. In order to make room for the new, fresh and exciting stuff coming your way in 2008 it might be wise to prepare now by getting rid of the "old stuff". If you have not worn or used it within the last 6 months it might be safe to toss or at least put into storage containers.

“A little laughter”
A dietitian was once addressing a large audience in Chicago. "The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago."Red meat is awful. Soft drinks erode your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. Vegetables can be disastrous, and none of us realizes the long-term harm caused by the germs in our drinking water."But there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and we all have, or will, eat it. Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it?"A 75-year-old man in the front row stood up and said, "Wedding cake".
