While working for our local church, we have a ministry that delivers lunches to elderly shut-ins, I used to take my four-year-old daughter with me on my afternoon rounds.She was unfailingly intrigued by the various appliances of old age, particularly the canes, walkers and wheelchairs.One day I found her staring at a pair of false teeth soaking in a glass. As I braced myself for the inevitable barrage of questions, she merely turned and whispered,"The tooth fairy will never believe this!"

Today's surprise came through 5 kindergarten teachers at my child's school. After working a full day...these 5 teachers came back to their classrooms in the cold, wind and rain at 7 PM to hold a workshop to help us parents prepare our children at home for a Writing Assessment for Kindergartners coming up in May. In this day and time it was a pleasant surprise to see such dedication, passion and love within the teaching field. Hats off to school teachers everywhere for all your seen and unseen efforts to help our children learn!!!!!

One Sunday a pastor told the congregation that the church needed some extra money and asked the people to prayerfully consider giving a little extra in the offering plate. He said that whoever gave the most would be able to pick out three hymns. After the offering plates were passed, the pastor glanced down and noticed that someone had placed a $1,000 bill in the offering. He was so excited that he immediately shared his joy with his congregation and said he'd like to personally thank the person who placed the money in the plate. A very quiet, elderly, saintly lady all the way in the back shyly raised her hand. The pastor asked her to come to the front. Slowly she made her way to the pastor. He told her how wonderful it was that she gave so much and in thanksgiving asked her to pick out three hymns. Her eyes brightened as she looked over the congregation, pointed to the three handsomest men in the building and said, "I'll take him and him and him!"
