"16 Types of Prayer - #4 Agreement"
Matthew 18:19 (Amplified Bible) tells us - "Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven".
This scripture brings home the point that you don't need alot of people to make change happen. I am reminded of Gideon. He was someone in old testament hand chosen by God to fight a particular battle. He sought after and received several different types of verifications this was really to happen. During this phase of his assignment he began to seek out 10 men to help him. This decision was birthed in the bed of fear. He was fearful of what would happen to him after he obeyed God. I could really go on with this, but the point I am trying to bring out is as a heir of the Living God you have the Kingdom of Heaven backing you up. You have angels protecting you. Don't allow fear to paralyze you from possessing your promise in 2008. Agreement is the position of authority. Seek out one or two believers full of faith to come into agreement (harmony/alignment) prayer with you about whatever negative impacting situations that may be hindering you. Breakthrough will happen in your lifetime. It shall come to pass before your very eyes. Use the Prayer of agreement today and watch God move on your behalf.
"Surprise Me God - 30 Day Experiment Created by Terry esau – Day 5”
This one is kind of funny. As usual I prayed the simple prayer "Surprise me God" then went on with my day as usual. My daughters and I stopped into the Dollar Store to pick up a few items for the New Years Party at our home church tonight. I was kind of nervous because I don't do good in crowds. Thankfully it was not very crowded at all. We found our items and got into the shortest line we could find. I noticed the background music playing but really did not think to much of it. Then suddenly the song "Stand by Me" starts playing. The lady behind me starts singing it to her self kinda low at first. Moments later she is in a full force all out solo right there in line at the Dollar store. I mean all out feet tapping, rockin' back-n-forth with a few spins and unfamiliar dance moves. I could not help myself. I had to say something. I'm thinking she will settle down in a second. Nope. That lady's New Years Eve party got stated early right there in line. It was as if she had stepped into a way back memory or something. This time when I turned around I had to say something. With a smile I kindly said "you are really feelin' that song aren't you"? That gigantic kool-aid smile said it all. Still singing "oh..oh..oh...oh yeah, stand by me..oh yeah she blurts out with feet tapping...its the New Year.....why not"? There she went almost as if my statement gave her permission to start singing even louder as she seemed to reach even farther back into a far off place in her mind with fingers snappin', hips shaking, feet tappin''...stand by me, stand by me. I heard the folks in front of me saying..."she sure is feeling that song. She does not care who sees her". Then I heard a very small still voice on the inside say.....this is how you are to enter into 2008. Not caring who sees or judges you. Praise me with all your heart in a dance. Sing melodies to me as you remember every mountain I brought you over this year. Every door opened that should have been shut in your face. Bless me for the places my favor has taken you to that money could never buy. After paying for my items I turned and told her "keep on singing in the New Year". She was handing the check out lady her money with "stand by me on her lips". She replied "I will". Have a blessed New Year I chimed back.
As we close out 2007 I would encourage you to take a few minutes not to reflect on the things you wanted but did not get. But on how your still here. After all the tears and heart ache...your still here. It may seem as if life has poured as much hell as it could on you...but your still here. Most would have came unglued or had a nervous break down. But his mercy brought you through. That's something to be thankful for.
"Prayer Exercise"
Lift your hands and say these words with me: "Lord I thank you for the good, bad, ugly and indifferent things that happened to me in 2007. You said in your word to give thanks in all things....to even count it all joy. I trust the things you allowed me to endure in 2007 will serve a two-fold purpose. They have made me stronger, wiser, and sharper while at the same time developing Godly character inside me. You hold my future. You know what's best for me. Thanks for a new beginning in 2008 in Jesus name. Amen”

"16 Types of Prayer: #3 Binding & Loosing Prayer"
Prayer is the vehicle we use to communicate with the Lord. Over the last few days we have been covering different types of prayer. Today we take a closer look at "Loosing & Binding".
This is mentioned in the passage of scripture located in the Bible at Matthew 18:19. It reads as follows: "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven". This may excite people of faith everywhere. First we see we have been given "keys". This represents authority as well as trust. I don't know about you but I don't give any of my keys to just anyone. It has to be someone I sincerely trust. I hope a bright light begins to flicker in the minds of our readers about how important you are in the eyes of the Lord. What a honor and privilege he has entrusted to you and I. The keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. His Kingdom. There is no Kingdom in Heaven, Earth or underneath the Earth greater than his Kingdom. We have a awesome responsibility to use this trust/authority wisely.
Next, we see the word "whatever". What a broad based word whatever seems to be. One definition on Dictionary.com defines whatever as "in any amount; to any extent". I don't know about you but of a lot of things come to mind that could be classified as "whatever". There may be various dark situations trying to come against ones life, family, church, community and a whole bunch of other stuff right now that can now be declared as improper or unlawful. With this in mind believers everywhere can begin to stand up to earnestly contend with Kingdom authority bestowed upon them to legislate Kingdom transactions in the heavens which will in turn bring forth positive change in the earth. Did you see that? You no longer have to sit back and accept negative situations impacting your life. Based on this scripture you and I can stand with complete authority to take control over "whatever" negative seen or unseen force that may be coming against you.
Began to bind up whatever is impacting your life negatively while loosing the positive counter part. For instance, bind up all fear then loose holy boldness in your life because God has not given us the spirit of fear but power, love and a sound mind. This is just a small example of what can be done by applying the Binding & Loosing prayer principle.
"Surprise Me God 30-Day Experiment: Created by Terry Esau: Day 5”
I am still riding on the sheer excitement of being entrusted with our own LIVE online TV show. This is totally incredible. Never would have imagined it in a million years. Anyways, while on the way to church out of the clear blue in the mist of total silence one of my children blurts out......"well today is the last Sunday of the year 2007. What are you going to do with it?" This was a very thought provoking surprise to hear come out of the mouth of a child whose age is just entering the double digits. Needless to say My husband and I began to quickly focus on this important fact brought to our attention. Inside I knew it was the Lord presenting me my "Surprise" in a very memorable way.....yet again.
"Prayer Exercise"
Lift your hands and say these words with me: Father God you are a awesome and mighty God. I thank you for trusting me with the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. Moving forward I promise not to take this authority lightly. Teach me what to bind & loose around me in Jesus Name. Amen".

"16 Types of Prayer - #2 Faith"
Here's what's on the menu today:

"16 Types of Prayer - #2 Faith”
One can literally go on-n-on about the Prayer of Faith. Faith is a key element in all we do for the Kingdom of Light. Without faith it is impossible to please him. I will leave the debate on how much faith you need for someone else. In my "eyes" all you need is faith the size of a mustard seed. A mustard seed is incredibly small. It takes some a little squinting of the eyes to get a good look at one.
Now, let's take a look at James 5:15 (Amplified Bible) for a second or two. It reads: The Prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Notice it does not say a "title" or "earthly deeds" will save or restore the sick. It is a act of faith through prayer. This does not exclude but includes believers across the seven continents of the world and every nation therein. One does not need a title to pray the Prayer of Faith over someone who may be sick. It's your hands the Lord desires to use. It's your lips he longs to pray life into another earthen vessel. He desires to direct your feet along beaten paths to claim souls that may find themselves sick or sin stricken.
May I call your attention to the fact that in this particular scripture healing, restoration an salvation are tied together. Begin today to use the Prayer of Faith to pray for those you may know who are sick & don't know or who might be out of fellowship with Jesus. This goes beyond a church denomination or membership. Most of all it's important to transition past a "religious experience" into a new realm of knowing/seeking Jesus.
"Surprise Me God 30 - Day Experiment Created by Terry Esau - Day 4"
Boy oh boy am I super duper excited to tell you about my recent "surprises" after praying this simple prayer on day 4 of 30. Let me start off by saying I have been writing in some form for many years. I never really took it seriously though. It was just something I did naturally. It's a part of me. Little did I know this was all preparation leading up to something very great. Once again, I "accidentally stumbled" across two really cool interactive tools for our Blog. You may have noticed one already. It's the new "Chat-n-Go" feature up top on the left. This allows our team to interact LIVE with our readers while they are visiting our site. The next one has me jumping up and down with excitement all over the place......a LIVE online TV Broadcast!!! Yep. You read right. A LIVE online TV Broadcast. The Bible says he will do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ever ask or think....and he sure has. I'm telling you he will completely blow your mind if you allow him to. This will be another added interactive feature for our readers. We're live Monday - Friday @ 12:30 AM PST. Like this blog the LIVE Broadcast will be dedicated to praying (not judging) for/with folks from all walks of life until heaven releases their specific answer. See for yourself.....http://www.blogtv.com/Shows/33370

Lift your hands right were you are and repeat after me: "Father I thank you for the vehicle of prayer. I embrace the fact that you are too wise to make a mistake. Use me to pray the prayer of faith for those around me who may be sick or need spiritual restoration. I thank you for doing this right now. In Jesus name. Amen"

"16 Types of Prayer - #1 Supplications”
Here's what's on the menu today:

2. "Surprise Me God 30-Day Experiment – Day 3”
3. "Prayer Exercise"
4. "Famous Quote"

"16 Types of Prayer - #1 Supplications”
Let me start off by saying there are definitely many other types/forms of prayer. Together, we will be digging deeper on these specific 18 types over the next few weeks.
The 1st type of prayer we will be looking at is Supplications. Let’s take a look at Psalms 28:6 in the Amplified Bible. It reads as follows: Blessed be the Lord, because He has heard the voice of my supplications. Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible defines supplications as: Earnest prayer, entreaty, supplication. Dictionary.com defines supplication as: an act or instance of supplicating; humble prayer, entreaty, or petition.
From this it may seem it is a prayer utilized when humbling ones self before God. Entreating him on behalf of a variety of areas like your family, friends, co-workers, city etc. When one chooses to step out of self while humbling themselves to present supplications to God your prayer takes on a voice……a voice that God hears. Now that's something to get excited about!
There is so much more to say on the prayer of supplications. I am reminded of something I heard someone say....."You can trust God with all your troubles in prayer. He has a big voice and he knows a whole lot of people".
The word "supplications" is used within the Bible 18 times in the old testament & 3 times in the new testament. Here is a list for further study if you so choose:
Old Testament
2 Chronicles 6:21
2 Chronicles 6:39
Job 41:3
Psalms 28:2
Psalms 28:6
Psalms 31:22
Psalms 86:6
Psalms 116: 1
Psalms 130: 2
Psalms 140: 6
Psalms 143:1
Jeremiah 3:21
Jeremiah 31:9
Daniel 9:3
Daniel 9:17
Daniel 9:18
Daniel 9:23
Zechariah 12:10
New testament
1 Timothy 2:1
1 Timothy 2:5
Hebrews 5:7
"Surprise Me God 30-Day Experiment Created by Terry Esau – Day 3”
It seems the Lord is insistent on Surprising me in very mysterious ways. My family and I went to see the newly released movie The Great Debaters. It was produced by Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions and Directed by Denzel Washington. I would have given it four stars if they had left out one scene with strong sexual content. Anyway’s while watching this movie I was given an even deeper appreciation for the contributions African Americans have made to society as a whole. It surprised and encouraged me to press forward in leaving my own legacy for history to recount.
"Prayer Exercise"
Lift your hands and say these words with me: My heart longs to know you in a more intimate way Lord. I thank you that you have provided the prayer of supplications that I may communicate effectively with you daily. I close my ear gate to every dark influence in Jesus name. I open up, activate and empower my ear gate to a clear, crisp transmission to the heart and throne of the Living God. Amen”

"PUSH = Pray Until Something Happens"
We live in a "quick, fast & in a hurry" decade. Many relate prayer similar to microwave dinners. Choose which one you want....pop it in the microwave for a few minutes....then bam, it's ready to be eaten (not). Don't get me wrong. There are often times when your answer comes quick, fast and in a hurry. However, in order to build greater character, relationship and faith within, there are times when the Lord will delay an answer to allow us to see ourselves. Allow me to expound on this for a minute. Have you ever seen what some call...a "spoiled" child? You may have seen one in the mall. They kick, scream, flair their arms and cry like someone is killing them because they did not get what they wanted, when they wanted it. We can agree the child will have to learn they can not have everything they want when they want it, right? The same principle applies in prayer.
We must learn to embrace the fact that delay does not mean denial. Let me say that again. Delay does not mean denial. Will we wait patiently? Will we give up or give in when oppressive walls, barriers, or obstacles stand in our way? It's not that God does not hear or is deaf. There are times when one must earnestly contend by faith in prayer. Push "through" smokescreens, camouflage, fear, let down, distractions, counterfeits, shame, hurt, disappointments and the like. Push "into" joy, peace, deliverance, healing, salvation and breakthrough in the Spirit of the Lord. We are not called to be wimps or push overs in the Kingdom of God. We are redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb. We are Heirs with God & Joint Heirs with Jesus Christ. We are above and not beneath. First & not last. Blessed & not stressed. Healed by the stripes on his back. Rise up Man of God. Rise up Woman of God. Why should you be bound in prayer? Take the limits off. He has given you the authority to use the name of Jesus. Every knee must bow to that name. Every tongue must confess in heaven, earth and underneath the earth that he is Lord. Use the name of Jesus to tell dark forces to back up and back off your territory. Loose every resource you need down here on earth to fulfill you destiny. It's your time & season to PUSH!
"Surprise Me God 30-Day Experiment – Day 2”
The Lord has a sense of humor. Yep, when we stop long enough to pay close enough attention we may find he is saying and or doing something that is funny. The reason I say this is that I was looking for him to really bless me today. I became really focused on him speaking to my heart directly since I was praying and seeking him. Guess what....I heard nothing....nada....zip. That was until I took the focus off me and began to reach out to help support others. When I released my faith in prayer on behalf of someone else, within minutes God sent someone across my path to release encouragement, hope and comforting words into my life. It was just what I needed at that moment.
"Prayer Exercise"
Lift your hands up right were you are and say these words with me: “In this lifetime with my very own eyes I want to see myself walking in everything you have predestined for my life. Therefore, today, right now I make a conscious intelligent decision to PUSH (Pray-Until-Something-Happens) towards my future. Teach me how to pray more effectively. I embrace your will and your path for my life. Bring me into Divine alignment with my purpose while here on earth. Amen”

Prayer: "The Believer's Prayer Manual"
Written about with Author's consent
Since today is a Holiday I am going to keep it short and simple. I must say up front that I personally know the author of this book. I have not been promised or paid one dime for this right up.
The Believer's Prayer Manual by Flynn Cooper is a great book for those who have a hunger to know more about prayer. It is also a great resource for those who are more familiar in the various areas of prayer. It is a easy, practical how to guide with real life application strategies.
"Surprise me God - Day 1"
I was growing a little concerned I would not be able to report anything on my first day. But late in the night I stumbled across a wonderful surprise. It was a great, supportive online writing group with like minded people. It will encourage me to pursue my writing skills more.
"A Prayer testimony written by Tana Monteiro"
(Published with permission)
On September 20, 2003, our family received a call from the eye doctor at UC Berkeley. We expected her to tell us Quinn our 7 year old son, our first born would need glasses, imagine our shock when we heard Quinn is going blind. An incurable genetic disorder called Leber’s optic neuropathy. The disease affects the nerves in your eyes, and they die causing blindness. It happens quickly in less than six months you could go completely blind. It mostly affects males; my three male cousins suffer from it, two of which are completely blind. I have two brothers who do not have this, so I never was concerned that this would affect my sons. It usually happens to young men in their late teens/early twenties, but now we were hearing the news that our son was going completely blind. At the time of diagnoses his sight was 20/1066 in the left eye and 20/580 in the right eye.
After hanging up with the doctor, we immediately called our Pastor. I remember he said “I do not accept that”, he prayed for us and then called for everyone in our church to come together for corporate prayer. Our church calls this ringing the bell. When we hear the bell is being rung we know we must drop everything and come to church to pray for miracles, deliverance and supernatural interventions. Someone’s life is depending on us to touch heaven.
Our whole family (immediate and extended) started to pray. My sister in law sent an email to TD Jakes prayer team; I think someone else sent one to Benny Hinn’s prayer team as well.
We had to believe God for reversal, recovery, and restoration, there was no plan B. We had to believe God to reverse the curse, we had two other sons, and blindness was not going to be their destiny. We would not accept it!
At Quinn’s next eye appointment the doctor said she saw about a 1% increase in vision since the last visit, about two weeks earlier. She attributed it to the lighting in that particular office. We said we will take that 1% and believe God for the other 99%. She also showed us the x-rays of the eye nerves. We saw that the blood was not flowing through most of the nerves. Seeing this did not scare or discourage us, now we knew and could be more specific with our prayers. Our prayer “Lord Mighty God, Your resurrection power resurrect Quinn’s eye nerves. We command the blood flow freely through his eye nerves now! We command Quinn’s eyes, nerves, and blood line up to the will, word and promises of God. We appropriate the promises of the cross, God’s promises for Quinn. We appropriate the work of the cross and God’s promises for our sons Kahlil and Seth every curse be reversed In Jesus Name Amen!”
When talking to people about Quinn such as his teachers we never said Quinn is blind, we always said they have given this diagnoses, but we believe God and we tell them of the miraculous recovery he has received. Every month since the first visit Quinn’s eyes have gotten better and better. At Christmas time that year the Lord spoke to me and said the day I reversed the diagnoses the curse was reversed too. We now have His blessed assurance that our other sons will never be affected! At the present time Quinn’s vision was tested at 20/70 in both eyes, even the doctors say this is miraculous recovery. God said 20/20 so we will not settle for anything less, and know total recovery will be manifested.
Yes we serve a Mighty Super Natural Healing God! Truly our Lord Jesus Christ can bring anything back to life!

"A desperate prayer for my cat...Ms. Bella"
This is kind of a funny but true story. It is a good demonstration about the power of prayer. Let me start off by saying I have had a very bad taste in my mouth regarding cats for as long as I can remember. They seemed sneaky, mischievous just too aloof for me. My family (= 3 kids & a husband) have tried to get me to get a cat for years. Year after year, round-n-round-n-round we went.
Them: "Please"
Me: "no".
Them: "Pretty please"
Me: "Absolutely not"
Me: "If you try and sneak a cat in this house while I am not here..... I will be moving out and sleeping on someones couch".
Them: " We are all going to pray to God he change your "heart" so we can have a cat"
Fast forward two or three years. It's was my father-in-law's 60th Birthday, Wednesday, December 11, 2007 around 9:30 AM to be exact. We are there sitting on the couch chit chatting, sharing and walking through the "Remember when Room" of his life.....when Ms. Bella there 2 year old mixed Persian cat walks in the room and gently plops down on the carpet right in front of me and just stares straight into my eyes. In that moment...I can't explain it.....but something inside my "heart changed"...I literally felt something flip inside me. We looked into each others eye's for what seemed like along time, but was really only a few moments. And I knew. I knew Ms. Bella would be coming home with us that day. Talk about eating your own words. There I was. In shock. How could this be? I told myself...cats are bad, remember? She will go pee pee and poo poo all over your carpet and it will stink. Then what???? Shortly after telling my husband I had a change of heart and Ms. Bella could come home with us my mother-in-law was up on her feet telling me all about Ms. Bella's likes and dislikes. How independent she is. How clean she is. Cat litter placed in my hand. Moist & dry cat food in the other. Then Ms. Bella was placed in her "Taxi" for safe transport to our house. Ms. Bella had only known this house. She had been declawed so for safety reasons had not even been allowed out into the 2-car garage. When asked if she was sure she wanted to part with her beautiful cat Ms. Bella she was quick to let us know she was getting old and could no longer care for 2 cats, a dog, bird, husband and work a full-time job everyday. She also stated she knew we would take good care of her. So it was settled. Ms. Bella was coming home with us.
It feels like I am getting too long winded here so let me cut to the chase. We did our very best to make her comfortable. She was pretty scared though. We had to leave her for about an hour or so to attend one of my daughters first Band recital. That evening when we came back Ms. Bella was no where to be found. We looked everywhere. Room to room we went. No Bella. Meow after meow went with no response. We put food out. No response. I even climbed on our kitchen counter thinking she might have jumped up there or something. Nothing. After over an hour we all huddled up in the living room. Out of shear desperation I cried out "Lord please let this cat come out. I know she did not get out the house. We have looked and looked. Please Lord...help us find Bella". Then each one of my kids said a prayer for Bella in their own words. After praying we sat down on our couch. One child decided to sit in the recliner instead.....seconds after plopping down into the seat......out popped Bella from the back of the recliner. (In case your wondering it's one of those with recliner's with removable Velcro backing along the back edges).
All that time she was right there under our noses. Our search efforts were futile until we prayed. Lesson #1 from the story........what touches you, touches God because he cares. He loves us a whole bunch. When we call out to him in prayer he hears. He not only hears but will answer quick, fast and in a hurry. Lesson #2...be careful what you pray for in desperate moments.....you just might get it.
"Surprise Me God 30 day experiment"
Ok I have heard much "blog chatter" about the "Surprise Me God 30-Day Experiment".....so I have decided to step up to the plate and try the Prayer experiment out for myself. Tomorrow will be day 1 for me. I will be keeping track of what happens here so stay tuned. For those of you who may not particularly care about that....don't fret. You will still find relevant prayer topics as well as be able to post your specific prayer needs or request.
Say this simple prayer: Teach me your ways that I may know you better. Surprise and speak to me in a special way within 24 hours.

Pray: "Prepare your field for 2008"
Good Day to you,
Great things are coming your way. Many are preparing for the upcoming Holidays. Some have or are beginning to focus on their 2008 plans/goals. Planning is wonderful. The key is planning your work then working your plan through prayer. Many of us start off making lists of things to do. We go out and buy daily planners. Some even take the time to make "Dream Boards". We run pretty good for awhile. Then slowly fall off the band wagon for a lack of better expression.
May I suggest, this year we try dedicating our goals and plans for 2008 to the Lord in prayer. Take that extra time to consult the Lord regarding the right time to strategically implement your dreams, goals, passions and desires. Seek his leading regarding the actual "how-to" for more effectiveness. Timing is key. It has been said that when the student is ready....the teacher appears. In the movie Facing the Giants there is a scene where the Lord inspires a gentleman to go minister to the Head Football Coach. Let me cut to the chase without getting too long winded here. In a nutshell he encouraged the Coach to re-focus his goals and prepare his "field" to win games in the mist of three consecutive loosing seasons.
Follow me for just a minute as we take a closer look at one particular scripture in the Bible. Let's check out Proverbs 16: 3, 9 (Amplified Bible) because it outlines a simple plan for success. The first verse speaks about rolling your works on the Lord. Rolling anything requires movements which lead to action. Now is the time to take charge of your destiny through prayerful actions. Next, we see words like commit and trust. This is were some folks regress. Completely committing/trusting your goals to him prompts a steady relationship with him also. Church on Sunday morning is good. Sound Godly counsel breeds safety. Relationship with Jesus yields lasting success. Sometimes we allow past hurts and the let downs of man mix in with who He is. He is a God that never fails. As you begin to trust him more and more by faith, he will begin to order your steps while aligning your thoughts to his will. Before you realize it your plans will become established meaning success is imminent. Let's review:
Step 1) Roll your works on the Lord
Step 2) Commit and trust them wholly to the Lord
Step 3) He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to his will
Step 4) He will establish your steps and cause you to succeed
Now the ball is in your court. Continue to strongly embrace the fact that you were made by God and God never makes mistakes. Yesterday is gone. Seize the moment. Begin to launch forward in prayer regarding 2008 and beyond. Everything attached to you is depending on it.
Prayer Exercise: Pray this simple prayer: Lord, help me to plan my work and work my plan for Divine purpose in my life. Show me how to prepare the field of my life to receive success. I want to please you in all I do or say. Amen

Prayer: How does it avail much?????
Happy Holidays to all. Most are gearing up for Christmas. It is another day to sow and receive love. That's right, the law of sowing and reaping has no boundaries. There are some people who think this only applies to finances. It applies to all facets of our day to day lives. Remember that old saying...what goes around...comes around. Same principle.
Now on to our topic: Prayer...how does it avail much? You may have heard that quoted. You may have even read it. Maybe pondered on it previously. Today, we dig deeper attempting to better understand the whole idea regarding prayers that avail much. To do so let's examine the word "prayer" for a minute. It does not matter where you may be in your life at this present moment. Rich or poor. Across cultures. Lonely. Happy. Angry. Hurt. Rejected. Over weight. Skinny. In church. Out of church. Never attended church. Buddhist. Baptist. Christian. Mormon. Catholic. Or some other denomination. Perhaps no denomination at all. Prayer is the vehicle used to talk with God.
There are different forms of prayer. Whether we get some sort of bad news or see our lives flash before our eyes as a another car runs a red light and is heading straight towards you with no rescue in sight or perhaps you get overly frustrated. All these things may cause us to cry out in desperation "Oh, my God"......"Jesus help me" or here is another very popular one...."Lord if you ever get me out of (fill in the blank) I'll do (fill in the blank). Sometimes we don't have time to speak it out or may not know the exact words to say in order to verbalize our need or request. In some form we all have done it. Some more than others. Within us all is a inner cry and or longing that comes from deep within which prompts human beings everywhere to pray.
The American Heritage Dictionary defines avail as: To be of use, value, or advantage; serve. Prayer is useful. It has and adds value. To use it daily is to our advantage. Prayer can be looked at as a form of service. Here is were the sticking point for some comes in. Waiting for the answer....right? Some have asked. How long do I pray? What do I say? It does not seem to be working for me? Or, nothing seems to be happening? This is were the element of faith steps in. The same faith we demonstrate every time we breath. Look around you right now. Can your naked eye see the air your lungs are taking in as your reading this article? Maybe you have a window open so you can feel a cool breeze. Or perhaps there is a strong wind passing by where you are so you can hear it. But normally you can't hear or see air. Yet, we don't stop and tell our lungs....now hold on, don't expand in and out again until I can see or feel some air around me. Nope. I think it's safe to say we dont tell our lungs that before breathing. Why? Because it's natural to breathe in and out. The same truth applies to availing prayer. We may not "see" how it's working, but prayer is working. Folks may not "feel" the answer just yet. But it's coming. I am reminded of a passage of scripture in Dan 10:12 - Amplified Bible. It was a time in Daniel's life were it seemed his prayers were going no where fast. However, he kept the faith and within 21 days a Divine Angel came to him and tells him "I have come as a consequence of [and in response to] your words". Talk about availing much. The words you speak out in prayer linger in the atmosphere minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and yes sometimes years waiting for divine purpose to manifest. Heaven is watching.....even listening. Divine Angles are at work on your behalf. Working to ensure your prayers avail through obstacles, circumstances, events, mountains of opposition, walls, and barriers.
Faith is the key that must be exercised before, during and after prayer. It's like gas in your car. Electricity in a light switch. Little to nothing happens without it. All things are possible with just a little faith in God.
Prayer Exercise: Seize the moment. Make a decision to stand right now by faith in prayer until heaven releases your answer. Let your petition be made known to God. He cares and will answer.
Quote: "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". The Bible - Hebrews 11:6 (King James Version)

Prayer: The start of something new for 2008
Hello there! We are glad you found us. We are at the start of something new within the Fresh Manna Christian Center Prayer Ministry. This blog will be a vehicle used by our Fresh Manna Christian Center Prayer Ministry to expand the Kingdom of Light through prayer. Everyone reading can trust that one or more believers will be in constant prayer over the prayer needs left on this blog.
This is so exciting because the Internet enables us with lightening fast speed to reach a broader base of people across the world who have specific prayer needs. It's my belief this blog will come before folks who may not necessarily attend "church" per say. Maybe folks who have been hurt, stuck or wounded in the whole "church/religious experience". Or perhaps those who may be in places classified as "unreachable". It makes me wonder if this is what Jesus meant when he said........the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do because I go unto the father" John 14:12 KJV.
This will also act as a tool to help centralize, stream and connect our Prayer ministry Team efforts daily. So check back often.
Prayer does not just change things...it changes Everything.
Prayer Exercise: Put your hand in front of your mouth. Now speak the following words into your hands....."There is life and death in the power of my tongue. What I think about I speak about. This year I decree and declare I will focus more on things that are positive, lovely, and of a good report". Now, did you feel the literal power of your breath on your hand? Yep, you've got more power than you think down here on earth. Use it wisely.
Quote: "....with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible". The Bible - Matthew 19:26
