"16 Types of Prayer - #6 Meditation"

Key Verse: Psalms 19:14 (Amplified Bible)

Here we see David talking to God in prayer. He is asking the Lord to let the words from his mouth and the meditations from his heart be acceptable in his sight. This lends one to beleive he was at a point in his life where it was time to take ownership of his own words and thoughts. It's my desire we all come to this point in 2008.

In order to see with our own eyes our destiny in this lifetime its imperative to begin to become proactive in these two areas. Life and death is in the power of our tongues. My father in the Gospel is well known for the following two quotes: "Sow a thought....reap a action. Sow a action...reap a habit. Sow a habit reap a destiny". It all starts with our thoughts. Many find themselves on the seat of "do-nothing" because of "stinkin' thinking. It's not because of a lack of gifting, talent or purpose. Often it is the exact opposite. Readers "capability without dependability is no ability at all....for if you know how to do a thing......but can not be depended on or found....its like having no ability at all".

Dont draw back from the Prayer of meditation in 2008. Get off that seat of "do-nothing". Start looking at the glass half full instead of half empty. It can yield bountiful fruits in your life. Choose to meditae on positive things this year. Align yourself with people looking to do the same. As you do, you will began to notice significant growth in other areas of your life.

"Surprise Me God-30 Day Experiment" created by Terry Esau -Day #7

Today while in prayer it was impressed upon my heart to read James 4:7. It may be a familiar scripture to some. It outlines simple steps to maintain victory in ones life.

Step #1) Submit to God

Step #2) Resist the Devil

Step #3) Your enemy will flee from you

The first step may be a struggle for some. We are living in a time where people don't want to submit to anyone let alone God. Making a conscious intelligent decision to willingly submit to the Lord protects and shields us from the strong winds and waves that are sure to arise at some point in ones life. It's similar to a car windshield. If you have driven or ridden in a car most have a front window (windshield) with wind shield wipers. The windshield & wipers do not stop the wind from blowing or the rain from coming down. However they do a fairly decent job at keeping the wind/rain out of your car while shielding you from flying debris.

There are some folks who attempt to resist the devil without first submitting to God. More often than not this ends negatively. Your enemy ends up saying something like...Paul I know..... Jesus I know...but who exactly are you? Submitting puts a mark on your life. It breeds relationship with the Father. When you see one who embraces the Word of God from Genesis to Revelations its safe to say this is someone who has chosen to submit to God. They have come to recognize he watches over his word to perform it.

After following the two previous steps faithfully your enemy has to flee. When your ways please the Lord your enemy will either flee or be at peace with you.

"Prayer Exercise"

Say these words with me: "Father right now I to begin to take ownership for my thought life. I know that whatever I think about I speak about. Lead me to people, Cd's & Book's that will help me mediate on positive life changing things which will help push me into my Divine destiny & purpose in Jesus name. Amen."

"Famous Quote"

“Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.” By - Gail Devers

"A little humor"

Says one humorist: "Life is unfair. I lost my car keys at a ball game and never found them. I lost my sunglasses at the beach and never found them. I lost my socks in the washing machine and never found them. I lost three pounds on a diet -- I found them and five more."
